A reporter asks people on the street what date the 9/11 attacks took place on and people get it wrong.

Now i know they just show the ones that got it wrong, but how ignorant can you be.

Seriously though, what year was it?

Reminds me of the "what country shall we invade next" questionnaire, with the globe that had re-aranged countries. People pointing to Australia because it was labelled as Korea. Ignorance is bliss I s'pose.

9/11 was in 2001, I was playing mir2 on that day when my husband rung me from work so I could keep them upto date on what was happening over the phone. I can understand people in other countries getting the date wrong but not in america! That is kinda sad, and how come they dont know it was 11th of september? they call the event after the date?

They guy that said they where stupid though was spot on... they where very stupid!!

When the kids got home from school they told me that they had been taken into tv rooms to watch as it happend, I found this kinda strange at the time and had to console my then 11 year old daughter who was freeked out by it all.

I think I saw this before. They call the event after the day, how stupid can you get. O.O

I can understand if your date is the other way round and got it confuse with 9th November but any other date is stupid.

I was at my granddad's house at the time it happens, I was mostly asleep because I took a day off school as I was really ill that day. Dad come over from work and we was discussing what will happen next. One being, there will be a movie about this in about 5 years time =P

i remember it well, the missus was pregnant with our first and i was phoning my tv company to get more channels and was having a conversation with the bloke about what was happening in new york.

almost as if it was yesterday.

I woke up just as the first plane hit and people were msning me "omg!", so i watched it unfold on tv, was some pretty wicked viewing, despite it clearly being a tradgedy.

I would never have known the year but even with the way the yanks put the month before the day in in 9/11 i would have got September 11th. Unless i'm the only one who writes my dates day/month/year.

I actually like the format year/month/day (which is not what the yanks use), simply because the last number increases and ticks over the next rightmost like a clock or numerical sequence.
