Ok it's been a while in coming, but now that the design of the website and the forum is final it is time to have a competition to design a logo which will be used on both the forum and the website and it's started as of right now.
First of all the good bit - there will be real prizes involved with this competition, the prizes will be as so:
1st Prize - (£30 shopping voucher) Winning Logo to be used perminently on website & forum
2nd Prize - (£20 shopping voucher)
3rd Prize - (£10 shopping voucher)
Token Prize - Awarded to the best effort of anyone who I can see obviously has no artistic skills.
(awarded a very special surprise prize well worth having, I want one myself in fact)
The prize to be arranged is likely to be a gift voucher for either Amazon, play.com or a shop of your choice to a certain value, to be arranged if in a country not in the UK.
OK the rules (quite simple)
1. You may enter as many times as you wish.
2. The maximum size of the logo is to be no more than 250 x 70 pixels (250 being the width and 70 being the height)
3. The maximum file size is to be no more than 20K.
4. The logo MUST be original and not a copy of some other logo.
5. I. myself will be the sole judge and my decision will be final, therefore all mods will also be available to enter, but absolutely no favouritism will be given to anyone as it is the quality of the logo that will count
6.In order to send out the prizes once the winners are announced, real names and addresses of winners will be required, but will be held in the strictest of confidence only by myself and will not be used for any other purpose than to distribute the prizes)
7. The competition will run for 1week, to the 31st of July and the winners will be announced the following morning on the 1st of August.
8. Should no logo be considered good enough to be used, the competition will be restarted and last for a period of 3 days running from the 1st - 5th of August, with the winner being announced on the 6th of August.
9. If after the second attempt, still no winner is found, the money allocated for the prizes will instead be used to purchase a professional logo instead (hopefully there will be no need to do this).
Guidelines
1. As mentioned above the logo is to be no more than 250x70 in size and 20K for the file size bit.
2. the logo will be used in the place that is currently filled by the small white logo saying Total format with the text underneath it.
3. the logo should be in .gif or .jpg format and can be either transparent to complement the background or should tie in well with it's surroundings.
4. The logo is going to be the emblem of Total Format and should be something easily recognisable for the content of the site and forum (think about the logo's that different products and companies have). The logo will also be placed on promotional t-shirts and mugs and stuff in the future, so use that as an incentive.
5. The logo should blend and mix well with the colour scheme of the site and forum in order to get the best effect.
6. It has to look professional as it will be everything that Total Format Stands for.
How To Enter
Simple, design a logo using the guidelines above and send it to
webmaster@totalformat.com including your username and the subject line "Logo competition entry".
All entries will be displayed on the website once entered and will remain in place for the duration of the competition, the webpage for the logo's will be added to this post as soon as the first logo has been submitted.
