Originally posted by Detomah I hated school with a passion, I didn't have the same accent as everyone else and in a northern school that can sometimes make your life a living hell.
The day I left school my life completely changed though, I started my college courses and suddenly found that all the people I was in clases with had similar intertests so my life suddenly became really good quality with loads of people to go out with and hang around with and stuff like that.
The day you finish school, you will feel a sudden a huge burden life off your shoulders, you will suddenly be treated with just a little bit more respect and will suddenly feel more mature (a lot of it is in the head). It's a whole new way of life.
I absolutely loved my college days and wish I could go back and do it all over again.
i was the other way round northern accent in a southern school, so i was different from the start and that made skool very hard for me, but i was one to sit there and take abuse and not give it back and so they carried on and my home was my only haven but once i left school it was all good cuz i had a point to prove and i loved college made tons of friends which some i love to peices and others who are just a laff to hang with.
its good to be lonely at times or otherwise you get claustrophobia (spelling)

Ah well, I stay out of there way. I know I could probably knock at least 3 of them out, no problems. But, I'm not a violent person, and I don't think I've ever been in a fight. I'd rather keep my head down.

How sad can people get?
The problem is, when people are school, they have very little to do except study, play and basically enjoy their youth, with that comes a lot of nastiness to anyone that the "in crowd" doesn't think fit into their little society.
when you leave school, suddenly other responsibilities like work, buying food, paying bills, getting a car/bike and licence, drinking and sex tend to come more into it and the childish things get forgottenb about pretty damn quick.
In the North East people are particularly nasty to outsiders as it is, but as a child it is a nightmare.
college is a great laugh mate, i ust finished my 2 year stint, and i love my time with my mates, i made a few, and lost a few, but thats wot happens, im shat @ college, but it was defiantly a good laugh hehe.

doesnt society really **** u off sometimes? lol
He's kinda right though, it is harder to understand, even if you're not that person. I've been told to stick up for myself, and my other friends have even told them to back off or else (and I have some pretty tough friends), but they still heavily intimidate me, even passing by them sometimes is a challenge for me.
I hope you're right about college. It sounds great. And to be honest I can't wait.
chances r 2, that most ppl tht **** u off will either be goin 2 a diff college, droppin out coz they r dumb sh1ts (sry bout the lang detomah) or will get owned by ur new college m8s

just because you're not in the same country doesn't mean you can't still be friends
Originally posted by Forge Still have internet/phone etc so you can talk to your m8s etc, maybe even get them to come visit you in summer for sort of a holiday.
