I used to have it in the morning when I was going to Uni, and when I started living with my g/f, but when I started work and I had to get up at 6.30 to have a s/s, get dressed, etc it would piss her off because my alarm has to go off at LEAST twice before I get up, so that means the alarm going off from about 6am. Anywho - after doing that for half a week (and having her moan at me) I started having a shower and shave when I got home. I find this more acceptable as I can take my time and afterward I am nice and smoothly shaved for kissing her (as opposed to lightly stubbly).
I only shave to tidy up the beard, I like a sink wash in the morning,
and a shower in the evening, if it's a hot day I'll sometimes have a cool shower mid day
if I'm home, don't like not being able to wash e.g. if I'm away at a gig or a trip where there's
no access, forst thing I do when i get home is claim the shower
I hate stubble and shaving, so i tend to use a beard trimmer to keep slightly long stubble, so i look furry I usually do it whenever i notice its getting bad, in the winter i leave it longer because its nice and warm. Ill close shave if i have to, but other than that i dont.
I shower every day religiously and hate not being able to, like if im at a festival or something. Always first thing when i wake up, sometimes again in the evening if its been a sweaty day.
lol, i'm shaving about once a month at the moment. Robyn likes facial hair, what can I say... Which actually does remind me, I was about to have my once monthly shave right now. After a month I tend to look a bit like:
I tend to have quick baths and normally early evening time, about the time I consider my working day done, so i'm nice and fresh for my evening meal and the likes. Except summer, then I dive in the shower however often I feel necessary.
In regards to showering, I'm a necessity showerer. I think people wash themselves far too much . This is quite a point of contention among me and my peers
I shower every morning before I have to interact with civilized people, else I'm stinky. I may opt out on Sat or Sun, if I know I'm going to get grubby, but never go more than 48 hours, else they call HazMat. Shave before every shower, unless I'm growing a winter beard.
Conversely, the wife rarely stinks, and has been blessed with ultra fine, nearly invisible hairs on her legs, so she has never shaved her legs.
I can only usually get at the shower in the evenings, due to living with a fair few women, so naturally that's when I tend to shower. Also means I'm less rushed in the morning.
Interesting thread, what have females got to say on the subject of men shaving / showering I wonder ? As for me, I'm the oddball in this thread, rise at 05:30, shave and shower, let the cat out before she kicks her little door to hell and cook brekky for my loved one. That, believe it or not is quite a normal routine for an old soldier in any country ! In the evening, shower again if going out. Yes I know, water bills etc..etc..
The hubby washes his hair everyday, and I'd hate it if he didn't because I love running my hands through it Stubble/touch of beard is sexy imo.
Mmmmm....maybe I''m just tooooo good a fella Still, having made her a chicken / mayo and raddish baguette for lunch, 'tis pub time for me folks PS, she gets her favourite this evening - beef stiffado. It's a greek dish consisting of cubed beef cooked in meditteranian tomato sauce, red peppers and mushrooms. Final point, who still shaves with a Victorian cut-throat razer ? I stopped only a few years ago.
i shower every morning after work before i get into bed and on weekends any time after tee, as for shaving i do that every 2 days or so cos my stubble is very fast growing and i don't like having to much cos it itches like crazy
My stubble grows fairly fast so I shave every day. My face used to get itchy as heck, however, I've started shaving only "with the grain", which is fine as long as you're only brushing against me in the one direction. Go the other way and you end up with sandpaper burn >.<

Sorry to be the barer of bad tidings, but that sounds like when I was your age. The bad news is that it gets far far worse as you get older. The good news however, is that it makes growning a beard a much more practical option than for those with slow growing stubble.
I use one of the most hightech modern Philishave's available, that does the trick.
The best thing I would recommend is trying some kind of shaving balm or another. I've recently started shaving every day again, mainly due to having started using a shaving balm product by Gillette which has made shaving so much less of a pain, I got a free sample in the post so thought I'd try it and it has worked miracles.

If you can get away with shaving with the grain, you should try a beard trimmer, theyre relatively cheap like £25 and you dont need to buy blades or anything. IIRC you have light coloured hair so can probably get away with a little stubble.

shaving with and against the grain :eek2:, dear God, you're into wood carpentry and meat buthery now Surely you mean shaving with the 'knap' of the beard growth ? Think of a snooker table, similar interpretation of the word knap. (slightly fearful old bilko)
I don't have a pattern to go to shower or shave. To be shaved I suppose I'd need to do that daily, but I really don't care about my beard before it bothers me myself although I tend to shave every other day. Shower I will take every time my nose tells my armpit smells too bad, it may be up to 3 times a day to 3 times a week, depending only on my perspiration.

LippoW, you sound horrible. Even a mangy dog would not live with you. Sort yourself out lad, Detomah asked you some questions in another thread which you have not answered so I suggest you go back and answer them first. Note, you put the thread up so have the courage to follow it - you're lucky as this site is very forgiving. Stay off the booze.
