Interesting reading some of the places it's supposedly been spotted, both dead and alive. The way people are making it out, is as if there is a plague of them all over that area and that they are more commonly seen than the towns police chiefs cat.

Something right out of Mulder and Scully territory this like, lol.

I think it's probably latex or photoshop, it's hind quarters are certainly not from a sea animal, it's head just looks wrong somehow, no upper teeth. And if you zoom in, it's front paw looks like a normal human hand.

It turned out it was a raccoon, bloated by the sea.
Still looks bloody weird though.

yea I can see that, thought the feet were very similar to rodent feet.

Tis dissapointing in a way that they've figured it out so quickly, although it was clear and obvious they would.

Unfortunately for me, my other half did put a dampener on it for me fairly quickly when as soon as she saw the picture she poo-poo'd the entire monster theory of it all and instantly stated as fact that it was just a wild animal, she didn't get which one though. But not surprised really seeing as you don't really get many opportunities to see real raccoons over here. What she did say was that a lot of dead animals look like that, except for the mouth and claw bit, because when they die, the skin peels back and reveals the bruised skin, made worse on that example simply cause it had been in the sea and had probably been battered about a bit.
