Cardiff rejected me =*( whimper. Sheffield will defo have me but no official confirmation, and oxford brookes suck granny eggs and i sucked at the interview.
Got a interview for york university the one i really want to get into (to do mental health nursing) - any tips? anybody gone there? Anybody cool and trust worthy happen to live in york (interviews at 9am and i gotta travel about 6 hours =p)
I had an interview for York and I completely died to be honest.
I still got an offer though, so don't worry too much about it. Just show you're enthusiastic about the course, know why you want to do it and you should be fine.
When I was applying for my physics course I had 3 interviews at Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham. Tbh, they're not as bad as you think, mine were pretty much just along the lines of "Why do you want to do physics?" and similar, except for Manchester who pretty much gave me an oral physics exam...
Probably won't get that for what you're doing though. Just relax and you'll be fine.

Sorry, was all that directed at me? I'm currently at Warwick Uni, that was just an experience from when I was applying as well.
really? I'm considering them as somewhere to go to do my phd. What's it like?
It's a brilliant university =p, it just depends on what course your doing and what your campus etc is like.
A friend of mine is doing law and his facilities, teaching etc are of a very good standard.
For my course though it's in a bit of a far out building, everything is old and smelling of piss etc, the teaching standard is very good - alot of people involved who are directly from and still work for the field of nursing and mental health but alot of things didn't take my fancy. You can usually tell from the amount of people they take onboard, oxf brookes only took on about 30ish rmn students, which means they're not as much resources available as you'd expect from other courses where they might take on hundreds, even thousands.
Oh and tagred, as i say Cardiff rejected me =p so shush =(
I have to do interviews for all my uni choices, it really sucks =p, so much travelling. I really fucked up my oxf brookes interview too, was to on edge - think it was the coffee they kept pumping me full of.
Have been invited to a information and selection day at City Uni, London. Anyone know what it is like? This is the only place I've got an interview for, out of the four places I applied to, so I really want to impress.
