Who do you think were the funniest people way back in years gone by?

you can have anyone Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd or whoever, but why were they funny, are they still funny when you watch their old programmes.

For me, one of the funniest people on the planet was Windsor Davies, you cant help but cry in laughter the way he screamed insults to people and used his catchphrases in every thing he did. I only watched terrorhawks because he was the main voice in it lol.
