Default Needs Help Setting up a ADSL Modem/Router

Bah after changing my ISP..etc last month we bought a Modem/Router for when the NTL connection expired (as that was connected to Wireless Router and worked fine).
Anyway bought the Belkin Wireless G+ MIMO Router, and set it up using the settings given by the ISP, along with the instructions followed with the manual (going through the wizard on "192.168.2.1") the net works for so long and then both my ethernet connection and the wireless connection just stops working. Tried everything i can think of to get it working, looked over Deathkittens thread from a few months back as she seem to have the same problem (although hers didnt work at all), rang Belkin but as normal its an "asian" guy who proceeds to ask stupid questions and put me on hold for 5 minutes everytime i tell him something.
Help me obi wan kenobi your my only hope!

I will probably get shouted at for being silly but here is my suggestion!

From experience I have noticed that when I move house or people moved within 50m, my wireless connection will die!
I don’t know the technical reason but logically it would seem to be that the new comers have either:

A: Some form of wireless device that is bleeding or deliberately transmitting over my frequency

or

B: An un-shielded device that when activated is bleeding over the whole spectrum. (is the TV going crazy with lines running up and down?)

I have found that simply changing the Channel my wireless router is transmitting on sorts this out almost every time? If the problem is B you can actually report the offending person (assuming you know who it is? As its an offence under the radio something or other act...)
With regards the Ethernet connection dropping, is that the one from your modem to the router? I’m afraid I haven’t got a clue about that though? How far is your exchange?

Well the Router is a modem/router, when its plugged into that it drops after so long, however when i just plug it into the TalkTalk modem provided which only holds 1 pc for the net it works fine. Taking it back tomorrow and getting something different, NTL boardband and my old Linksys router connected up in sections, dads a tool for changing the ISP -.-
