few questions

i just building a new PC and im looking at a processor with this "new 90nm architecture" will i have to find a mobo that suports it or will all 939 socket mobos be ok with it, also the mobo i am looking at has 8 audio channels, will i still be able to plug 5.1 speakers into it?

not sure with the processor....but the website/manufacturer can explain if it will work with a socket 939 mobo. and im pretty sure 5.1 sound will work with 8.1 sound audio lol.

exactly what processor and motherboard are you thinking of buying? can you post links.

As long as the chip is 939 and the motherboard can take 939 chips then you should be ok.

You should be able to plug in your 5.1 in the the 8.1 without any problems. I thought things were at 6.1 anyway, not head of 8.1 yet?
