Quite an exciting development, and a lot more than just touch-and-select,
Windows multitouch looks is set to provide another evolution in how we use
the PC, it's paving way to changes in design ideas such as laptops with a
screen on the keyboard plane, so the device can be used either with a touch
screen keyboard, and as a dual screen device or for 2 seperate tasks with a small
touch keyboard on each, also the table style pc's contain additional sensors
so small devices can be placed on them interact with them directly, without the need for cables,
Also Win7 has support for biometrics, which could bring the added security of thumbprint

At what cost tho? You need to buy a touch screen ( sophisticated one too not just cheap one ) what sort of power are you going to need to keep up with the overheads

It does look nice and it should run better than vista but why would I buy this when I can buy an iPhone that already does it for a fraction of the cost needed to buy the kit they are demonstrating on ?

will def try win7 when its released but I am preparing myself for more disappointment I do use vista as it does have some facilities over XP that i really like but cant see me having the funds even to be able to buy the kit required for win7 and its new features

Is touchscreen really the way forward? To me everything seems to be going that way and its so slow and fiddly, I personally dont see the appeal, I guess its more for the mass market so its more "userfriendly" but its just so annoying and takes 3 times as long to do anything!
