record computer sounds?

Is there a way to record the sounds your computer is putting out?

I found a really old keygen for nero 6 on an old HDD and the music rules

You can set your record device in windows volume control to wav or whatever its on and then use a program like sound recorder or adobe audition to record it.

Keep speakers low or use headphones when messing about with record device incase you get evul feedbacks though.

i got a free recorder prog , its called "free hi-q recorder" worked fine for recording an hour of stuff.

as pura says I know you can set the sound options to record its own output, as i did that ages ago once, at first I thought you wanted to record the fan sounds or something lol !

I did try sound recorder but i could only choose the input as an option. Shall try audition as i have it (though never used it) and the 1 meow mentioned. Thanks!

I think you have to go into the volume control and set up something in the advanced section.
I'm sure I googled it before and found the answer somewhere, I'm too lazy atm to do it now lol.
