General Computer DiscussionA lot of computer discussions would not quite fit into the other computer related forum sections, if you find that is the case for something you would like to discuss, then you should post that computer discussion to this section.
It looks fine, youll probably get the usual comments about the PSU not being big enough to power a delorian etc Overall though in terms of bang for the buck its a good balanced system, upgrading anything would be more money than its worth imo.
Not sure its the best price as ive got no clue on current prices.
Although graphics won't run at full eye candies with high resolutions so I'd suggest 9800GTX+ instead of the 9800GT is you play higher resolution than 1280x1024 (I got 9800GTX+ and most of the graphics stuff on at 1920x1200, although I put fastest frame rate for rvr anyway because seeing 48 morale2/3 attack effects will knock down even supercomputers) also I'd prefer faster dual core processor, so I'd prefer 2x cores and more speed something like core duo .
With 4 cores I'm sure there's at minimum 2.5 cores tapping fingers on the table when you play WAR.

Reason: I got proof reader in FF3 <3 but I never tend to look at the red lines under words.
I think its in a better condition still but if you are having problem than you can change it and buy a new one. but its totally depends on you for sure
I hate all the nvidia 9xxx series, the 8800 GTX outperforms most of them,
they will probably kill that 500w PSU in a year or less, or leave you grumbling about
poor 3d rendering or crashes etc,
rest of it looks fine, though Vista premium wouldn't be my first choice of O/S,
get XP 32 bit and upgrade to Win7 64 once the PC has had it's shakedown.
I got an ATI HD 4870, didn't cost the earth (£120) and it runs 3d games with ease on all max
settings, the nvidia cards I looked at for the same spec were all £200 or over!
wise choice I think...
It's been in for a few weeks and it's working flawlessly, I'd recommend this card highly
for anyone wanting a solid upgrade, I can't really understand why NV's cards are so highly
priced, when ATI are blowing them away in terms of value and spec.
