Tony Hawk punked as American Wasteland songs surface
Soundtrack for upcoming multiplatform skater will feature new bands covering classic thrash sessions.

The young 'uns will be paying tribute to the old 'uns for the soundtrack of Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, MTV.com is reporting today. The tracks see today's "punk" bands covering classics from yesteryear, from such seminal thrashers as Suicidal Tendencies, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, and Black Flag. Among the whippersnappers providing their takes on immortal classics are Fall Out Boy, Hot Snakes, and My Chemical Romance.

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, from publisher Activision and developer Neversoft, will be released this fall on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, and DS, with an Xbox 360 version following sometime after.

The announced songs for the soundtrack are as follows:

• Taking Back Sunday - The Descendents' "Suburban Home"/"I Like Food"
• Senses Fail - Suicidal Tendencies' "Institutionalized"
• Alkaline Trio - TSOL's "Wash Away"/"Beneath the Shadows"

• Thursday - The Buzz****s' "Ever Fallen in Love?"
• From Autumn to Ashes - Fear's "Let's Have a War"
• Hot Snakes - Government Issue's "Time to Escape"
• Thrice - Minor Threat's "Seeing Red"/"Screaming at a Wall"
• Saves the Day - The Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer"
• My Chemical Romance - The Misfits' "Astro Zombies"

They'll never beat tony hawks 2 for gameplay and i dont mean the underground one either soundtrack seems okay though if thats your thing

Tonyhawks 2 was the best out of the series

I liked the underground ones because you could walk/climb etc, i think i just liked 2 more for the playlist, i enjoyed the levels a lot more than some of the new ones aswell.

Looks ok, i dunno about riding bikes though, its like not a bike game its SKATEBOARDING DAMMIT!!!!!

Lol i got threatened today by someone holding a knife, was funny seeing as he was half the size of me, i know him and the fact that he was ginger just made it that lot funnier

Hmm i hope it is a mini game because i couldn't bare playing a tonyhawks game were you ride around on bikes...

Another thing it could be is that the person on the nike might be a unlockable character so you can't choose what he rides, a bit like the Shrimp vender in T.H.U.G 2

tony hawks 2 and 3 are my favourites.

I got THUG2 and i havent even done 3 levels i dont think....i hate it, its crap.
