Eve OnlineEVE is a world far away from mankind's original habitat, planet Earth. How far away, and where, no one knows. Seemingly out of the blue, the EVE gate collapsed in an apocalyptic catastrophe of a scale never before witnessed by the human race, ruining the New Eden system in the process. Of the surviving colonies, 5 were to rise up and become the major empires that hold between them the balance of power in the world of EVE today.
I've got an account, but it's not active, partially due to me not having it installed on my machine and partially because I just don't have the time i'd like to put into the game.
Tagred had an account that I knew of too, not sure if he is still active or not though, not sure who else may have one these days either.

Sounds like the situation a guy in my corp was in. He didn't have the time to play excessively, but carried on subscribing so he could carry on training skills. Now he's flying a high-end ship with an extremely good loadout, and has all the support skills he needs to fly it well thanks to the time he put into skills. The whole real-time skill system is one reason I love EVE, yet it's the reason one of my mates hates it 'cause he doesn't think you get as much of a reward for insane grind sessions.
The only thing you need to work for really is ISK, but once you know what you're doing and have a reasonable skill set in a specific area it's really not that hard to make money.
I just started out on a trial account four days ago. Friend convinced me to play. They say that you don't usually enjoy the game until you have some skills trained to a decent level, but after an hour of my trial i'd pretty much already decided I was going to sub at the end of it.
I'm still playing , have been since 2006, curently residing out in low sec, unfortunatly i'm a little busy atm so not on as much as i would like, , char name is jazzcat, mail me if you want any help or info
I've just quit for the second time. I had two accounts, 40m SP and 30m SP respectivly. I found everytime I tried to play the game became to me more like a job and a lot less like a game. Spending hours travelling from one end of the universe to the other continually, PVP was a joke also - spend hours roaming around to get the odd cheap kill to then be ganked and back to square one.
ISK is king in Eve also, if you can't have a steady flow of isk you can't have a steady enjoyment of the game and at the time I quit my only income was missions which after 3 years become reather tedious...

Did you not find a good aliance to get into, solo pvp or small gang pvp can be a pain, but if you have a home to defend it's much more fun ,
I was in a big alliance for well over a year, but the politics and pos system you have to endure, while fun at first becomes increasingly tedious... If you own large portions of space you can find yourself fueling 20-30 POS over several systems and your whole game-goal becomes doing nothing but fueling POS and defending / maintaining them..
The gang (and fleet now they fixed the servers to some degree) warfare is incredibly fun but unforunately they got increasingly few and far between (I miss the Privateers tbh lol)..
Yes I mean the Privateers 'merc' corp/alliance.. if you can call it a merc alliance lol. Although our corp ended shooting more alliance members than war targets because they gave off good loot lmfao
