I'll buy all the consoles but I reckon PS3 will be the better of the three, I reckon somewhere down the line Sony will do something right between now and March and the lineup of games is looking pretty good, even if 360 is getting the majority of these games as well somewhere over the next 5 years Sony will attract more and more exclusives, its just what Sony do and much like the PS2 with the original XBOX, the PS2 had a much superior game line up.
Better games, better graphics, better pad. X360 doesn't have any of the game franchises I want...yet. PS3 will have Gran Turismo, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, GTA, Final Fantasy, Armoured Core, UT2007, Need For Speed Carbon. Also the graphics are only just as good as my PC's which is about 2 years old. The PS3 will be truly next-gen...which is why it will cost so much.
90+ million people owned a PS2 and it delivered and delivered so their is alot of loyalty and more so hope that the PS3 will bring the same.
Its had lots of set back and the price is lame, but that aside it offers more thats why people will wait.
Its still has many of its biggest brand name games MGS, FF etc and dispite losing some exclusives like Resi evil 5 and GTA people tend to forget PS3 will still has those.
So what does the 360 have the PS3 doesnt that matters?
Even with those new titles and new games like GOW the 360 still isnt knows for its killer apps. only game people credit is with is Halo.
MS played it safe by making it standard upgrade of the xbox only paying special attention to LIVE. Developers are playing it safe with games because 360 has sold 6 million and PS3 has not sold anything.
But the PS3 as much as it has takes an image blow as not lost all of those 90+ million fans and without a doubt hold the rank of most fanboys. Its first 10 maybe 15 million consoles will sell and if 10 million units were avaliable at launch they would sell out no questions asked and this is without europe.
While as things go it will be march 07 when MS sell 10 million units 18 months after launch.
Just needs Sony to get em out
Once it gets on it feet developers will start coming back and it will start getting some of its games back.
As much as analysts call for PS3's doom, most of them will still agree PS3 will come out on top even though it will lose lots of market share. A wins a win.
You can play it safe now with a 360 but people want to invest in the future with PS3.
This is why i will wait playing with my Wii till first price drop.
And if all goes bad i can still get a 360, but i am pritty confident PS3 will be no 1

360 will have Resident evil, GTA, UT2007 (if you are telling me that Epic wont put their multiplayer game on the most advanced console online system, you are educationally sub normal). Need for speed. I would be absolutly floored if the 360 dosent get DMC after the huge sales that Dead Rising got.
The "article" which said Armoured Core wasent coming to 360 has been discredited. No official confirmation that its been cancelled for 360 as far as Im aware.
We have already had multiple devs say that the 360 and PS3 have very little difference in overall graphics capabilities. And that the X360s graphics card is actually more powerful than the RSX. And they said this before the RSX was underclocked.

The topic of the thread is why would you choose a PS3 over a 360.
I doubt 360 will get DMC because big sales for Dead Rising or not, Sony has the power to keep DMC exclusive or if not a console exclusive an exclusive for a year or two at least, you also forget that Onimusha has only appeared once on a Microsoft system which was just as successful as DMC, they didn't try that again did they ? Sales don't determine a company bringng more brands on another console, if that were the case Bungie would've sold out to Sony a long time ago with HALO.
Because of what the PS3 offers, It has everything I need and want in a next-gen console and like Mankind I prefer Sonys range of games. Ive always found that Sonys consoles cater for my personal gaming needs more than any other console, Par Sega. Oh and Reno I think the PS3 is better based upon everything ive seen, You dont have to have played a console to think it will be better, Wii Fanboys are the best example of that.
On a side note, Why do 360 fans in paticular feel the need to try and prove other peoples tastse in consoles to be wrong? I really dont care if they think the 360 is better, Its all down to personal choice I prefer the PS3 because of what it offers and thats why im spending my money on it. Why do they care so much that other people dont like their console of choice? Endless comments like "Yeah but 360 gets this and that aswell" as if people are supose to change their mind and buy Their console ( This isnt aimed at merx and ago btw, Just 360 fanboys and fanboys in general )
On nearly every Gaming forum I visit, Every 360 fanboy spends their entire time on the intermaweb virtually trying to think of ways to slate Sony by taking quotes out of context etc rather than actually talking about why the 360 is a good console ( I personally like it and will be getting both ) But meh, nm... It won't get GT5 or MGS4 though will it. And lol it won't get devil may cry.
I don't care what people have said about the ps3's graphics, I've seen lots of x360 games in action and only one or two have the graphics I would expect from a next-gen console. Saints Row looks weird and inconsistent graphics-wise. COD2 looks like a 1ghz pc is running it.

The real twisted logic comes with the comment about Bungie. We know that Microsoft Game Studio owns Bungie. To even surgest that Bungie would and/or could go "in a bit Microsoft, we be moving to Sony, yall"
I mean. Seriously. Are you really THAT much of a Microsoft basher/Sony fanboy to believe that Microsoft would ever lose Bungie before they stopped making/finnished the Halo Saga?
Sales do determine which console a game goes to. Just look at ****ing Res 4. The creator had a ****ing heart attack when it went to PS2. Oh wait. Who made that? CAPCOM!
The only way any game is garunteed to stay exclusive is if a game is a) published by the console manufacturer (Gears of War) or b) the dev team is owned by the console manufacturer (Alan Wake, Halo)

yea i notice this alot aswell, they spend more time bashing sony/PS3 then they do talking about the console they actually own.

The brand of playstation and everything it brings with it is why i would choose the PS3 over 360.
It will be the fact everyone knows and loves playstation that it will do so well.
Its the same reason i chose the get a PS2 before i got an Xbox, GC and Dreamcast.
Look how the PS2 did coming off the PS1 brand name.
that brand name brought all the customers and games and i have no doubt it will continue to do the same.
I'll be investing in all three, 360 will be sitting in my room in 2 weeks time, Wii at Christmas and PS3 in March.

to be fair if microsoft didnt buy the halo franchise they MAY have come over to the playstation as a multiplatform game, with halo they already had it on the pc aswell as xbox.
