Was down at Blackpool over the weekend and headed down to the Pleasure Beach on Saturday for some adrenaline-filled fun, and sat right outside the Sandcastle at the South Pier was a massive Guitar Hero stage!!! They are touring all the big cities over the summer holidays, and you can go up on stage and rock out in front of a real crowd!
We went over to take a look and everyone was playing Rock and Roll All Night on Medium, and shit like that, so James and I decided to give it a shot We bowled up on stage and the girl asked us if we had ever played before (haha ), we asked if we could put it on expert and do a pro-face off and she said we could do whatever we wanted. So we shortened our guitar straps and cranked it up a notch to expert, went straight for the last song on the list (One) and belted out some Metallica
To be honest it was as exciting as any of the rollercoasters I went on that day, the adrenaline rushing through me trying not to miss the hammer-ons, (it wasn't on hyperspeed and I haven't played normal for months lol), I did ok I think, but James nailed it with a 360-odd note streak
We got a round of applause at the end, and some souveniers (GH sweatbands, pleccy keyrings and transfer tattoos lol), and when I told the girl hosting the event she had the best job ever, she said she wished one day she'd be as good at Guitar Hero as we were lol.
I need to find a pub that does Guitar Hero tournies, that'd be awesome.
It was awesome, none of those pussies wanted to go on the big one with me so I had to go myself as usual. Men pretend they have balls but I think they're all just chicken. "the queue is too long" "I need the toilet" etc etc. I'm scared as hell of rollercoasters but I thought that was the whole point. If it wasn't scary it wouldn't be any fun

Oh i'd go on absolutely any ride, the scarier the better, I'm just not fond of performing in front of people, so no things like Guitar Hero for me.
I went on the Big One a hell of a long time ago when it was pretty new. I really didnt think it was scarey, and the only bit i really remember was when you go over the top and the sea looks really close cos of the height. The old wooden rollercoaster there was way more scarey tbh, actually felt like it was going to fall apart.
If you want a scarey rollercoaster go to a pikey fairground, hold the barrier way out from you so it locks miles away and enjoy the rides with no safety! We did that on loads of rides in a few places, one of the best was the Black Hole at Alton Towers, you get thrown allover without the knee bar, is shit scarey That and one of those upside downey pirate ship rides, which my mate nearly fell out of

Edit: And ur freaking nuts at guitar hero
Yeah I totally agree about the wooden ones pura, they're far more scary. My dad was with us and he was telling us about how him and his mate went on the grand national, pissed as twats, and while the ride was in motion, climbed from the front carriage to the back one. Idiots lol. But yeah I think the wild mouse is the scariest, where you come off the tracks at every mad bend, I was screaming like a banshee!
Angellllllllll remember when we went to the pleasure beach It would have been so funny if I saw you watching me play guitar hero, I would have got all embarrassed all of a sudden I think
Pura I'm pretty shit at guitar hero by all accounts, James is a smug **** however, he's 5-starred the whole track list on expert, completed Through The Fire and the Flames, and has like 19 Full Combos. I'm so jealous lol.
However, a great tip for anyone serious about guitar hero, is to hardwire your guitars. We've done both of ours and within the first day James got 6 more Full Combo's, it really helps. I have a guide! It's pretty easy to do.

Haha, the way I see it it's all just a laugh, if you're good people are impressed and if not then they get a laugh out of it lol. I'm always up for embarrassing myself which is why I'm always the one who ends up singing on Rock Band
Ive played the wireless ones but even synched they felt a bit crap, always used the wired ones mostly, but we usually play rockband these days cos more ppl can be spazzes at once.
I just posted a guide in another thread Rockband is cool but the drums are crap. Rock band 2 instruments are going to be a lot more sturdy though apparently.
I think Guitar Hero World Tour will be where it's at, the drums look soooo much cooler - GUITAR HERO® WORLD TOUR Check out trailer 2
