Flash Help

Anyone good with flash? I have a pretty basic problem but I can't get my head around it, I want the level to end when a certain boss is dead, not when the boss is spawned! Atm the boss spawns and the level end screen appears, anyone know how I can fix this? I can upload all my classes and coding if that helps. I just need some ideas
