City of Heroes named MMORPG of the Year
US magazine Computer Gaming World heaps praise on our favourite MMO.
Even though we’re over a month into 2005 awards for 2004 are still rolling in, and recently it’s been the turn of magazine publishing giant Ziff Davis to do the honours. Computer Gaming World’s editors picked City of Heroes for its Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game of the Year award, saying:
"City of Heroes flies high above the competition, thanks to its staggering character-customisation options, its immersive setting, and hands-down the most creative use of source material we’ve ever seen in this type of game. And, perhaps most importantly, it really makes you feel like a superhero.
Thank you to CGW’s editors, and congratulations to Cryptic Studios, City of Heroes’ developers."
