MyMiniCity Watcher
I've decided to write an extension for firefox. The idea is fairly simple, yet I've not found an extension for it.
Summary:
A drop-down menu that allows the user to add, view, and remove cities from a list. When a user clicks on a city (from the view command) the extension will get the city's myminicity xml file and determine what properties are required (ind, env, etc). If nothing is needed, it'll just show the pop option.
What I've got atm is a drop-down menu that spawns prompt-boxes saying 'this is the view option', etc.
Atm I'm trying to find out how to use javascript to write to and read from these .xml files (the list of cities that the user creates will be an xml file as well as the city properties files from myminicity.com).
Once I get it working, then I have to work on a logo for the toolbar, then find a way of distributing it to the masses at myminicity.com. I think I might also pop an advert in next to the toolbar icon? Try and get some revenue coming in?
