The Big DebateIf you feel the need to get your teeth stuck right into a heavy debate on a subject you feel really passionate about, then this is the place to do so. Post about religion, politics, laws and all things juicy like that here.
well sinds 0.00hours it's illigal for u british ppl to hunt foxes
guess the royal familly needs a new hobby now
anyway i think it's good those foxes have the right to live and not be hunted for fun, altho some high bosses in britain have said they will fight to have it back
I thought it was hunting foxes with dogs that was illegal not actually fox hunting as such ?
As far as I can gather running after them with a big stick a bludgeoning them to death, slitting there throats with a rusty knife or blasting them with a big gun is still allowed ( if you have a licence for said weapon ).
As would be kicking one to death.
All very inhumane and sadistic ways to kill a fox but still leagal under the current legislation.
All it seems to say is you cant let your dog run after a fox and go for the juglar.
Normally I would support such legislation, but atm I just see it as the government putting tighter and tighter control on the people. Ever since Tony Blair came our civil liberties have been erroded a peice at a time. Hell we can't even have a cigarette anywhere without being spat on, its a shamble. As for the Fox, the ban doesn't atually stop em from getting killed, you can still hunt them, but have to shoot them when you see em instead of have em ripped apart by a pack of dogs. It's a good legislation at heart, but because of our erroding civil Liberties I oppose it. At this rate we'll be as strict and as rigid as Germany soon.
Well i dont have a probelm with hunting, or any blood sports (we can only hope for the unreal tournament to become legal)
But I do have a problem with the upper class british people. "lets drink some scotch, go kill a fox, then shag our sisters, hahahahahahaah" I hate them i really do. Not only that they dress like my 58 year old dad.
WHen there was riots in london about this, a woman came on and said "the police pushed me really hard" and she was crying.
so if it stops the inbred upperclass having some fun in yorkshire, im all for it.

why do you hate them? because they are richer than you? They all work just like you... no aristocrat could live on just their inheritence unless their inheritence was land they could lease. Do you hate em because they don't sit around their PCs all day playing Doom but instead pass their time doing something different. Not only that but the majority of fox hunters are actually middle class and thats a fact, not wealthy aritocrats, not only that but fox hunting pays for the livelyhood of thousands of struggling country working class. Just seems very ilogical your arguement for supporting it.

I agree, and the thing that really concerns me about the loss of civil liberties is they are never returned. Once you have lost the right to do something it's lost for good for you as well as for future generations.
Im one of these people that if it doesnt affect me directly then I dont care.
Nice attitude, the very reason why the loss of civil liberties is becoming an issue. Shame you're too closed-minded and/or self-centered to be able to see the bigger picture ..

no m8, im even worse then you think. I DO see the bigger picture, I just dont care!!!
did u read the title? it says fox hunting is illigal now meaning sweet foxes can run free now
Ramm.
well if i knew this post was bout how cute foxs are i wouldnt of posted.....and theres me thinking it was to discuss weather we care on the law or not...
do we hunt them? no....they are raised that way but i don't have 2 see how they end up on my plate....i'm talking about fox hunting, bull fighting, bear entertaiment in russia and so on...
I think the way theyre hunted is cruel, and im glad thats been stopped. But at the same time, i think farmers should have the right to kill a fox that is on his/her land...

About the farm thing, they should only be aloud to do that if the fox is attacking the farmers animals. Im glad that fox hunting with dogs has been banned, an animal shouldnt be hunted for fun thats just wrong, if they continued with fox hunting, fox's would end up extinct.

Hmmm perhaps. I certainly understand your point. Theres no point shooting a fox, if all youve got on your farm is potatoes. And of course, this is the price farmers must pay for large areas of land that theyre not prepared to invest into protecting (with something other than a gun ¬_¬). So yea, i agree. My casual phrasing went quite arry. :x
