The Big DebateIf you feel the need to get your teeth stuck right into a heavy debate on a subject you feel really passionate about, then this is the place to do so. Post about religion, politics, laws and all things juicy like that here.
Disgusted, this is why I hate being British. Football used to be a family affair where you could take your kids for an afternoon out. No chance of that now.
It's not about football, it's about something else entirely, something related more towards NF and BNP related activities rather than football fans turning into animals. It is deliberate incitement and even back in the 80s when it was rife in this country, it was still fueled by underground low life thug activity and today is no different, there's a deliberate process for completely none football related purposes, with football simply being the easy vessel to harbour the violence.
At the same time....
It is a very small minority of "people" taking part in such activities and i'd say approximately 90 of the 92 league clubs are perfectly safe for all types of people to visit, without any kind of fear at all.
Millwall being one of the clubs that have always had a connection to football hooliganism and looking at last night, the majority of those involved in the riots, where nothing more than a pathetic throwback from the bad old days where it was a weekly occurance.
I hope those involved are banned for life from every football ground in the world, together with all known associates and I hope they have their passports removed and are permanently tagged, so they can't sneak around doing it on any level.
I dont know about it being BNP/NF related, but whatever it is its its not restricted to football, but pretty much anything that is popular in Britain. Im sure its only a relatively small percentage who statistically get caught assaulting or whatever, but the attitude goes much further.
Football hooligans, drunken idiots in this country and abroad etc. I dunno why so many people seem to have such little social responsibility or respect tbh. Im happy for people to get drunk and have a laugh, but if it makes you into a violent asshole then steer clear. If losing at football makes u want to fight the other supporters then give it up!
There's certain groups that orchastrate these things, who have massive connections with political parties of the nature of BNP and other nationalist parties from places such as Britain, Germany, Poland and at least 15 other countries, that i've read various articles from regarding their policy on football violence among other things such as racism, aryan races, religion, anti gay and the likes. I won't post links on TF though, as I refuse point blank to give them any kind of publicity, but if you want to see what I mean, PM me and i'll send you a link so you can read for yourself. But I warn in advance, it's what I would consider some serious carcrash stuff going on there.

What I don't get about this is why the police don't just stop the match and vacate the stadium then when empty play in an empty stadium or cancel the game completely there is not enough responsibility put on the teams to deal with this sort of incident before it happens.
Fine the clubs a couple of million pounds each for allow hooliganism to be part of their teams supporting interest every time it happens and i'm sure they will be much more vigilant over who they sell tickets to.
No reason for violence to exist in the game at all.

It's not the match, the stadium, the football club, nor the mass majority of fans of either club playing that are the problem and forcing the game to be played behind closed doors would not solve anything, as these "rucks" are arranged long in advance among the people who want them and are generally arranged online via closed forums and chatrooms and the likes and there are people on watch for things like the police, riot vans and the likes on the night and for the most part, the violence goes wholly un-noticed, as it doesn't happen in the stadiums, it happens on the streets, in pubs, down back ally ways and the likes, the only time it generally carries into the stadium is when the police have stamped on it prior to the match and prevented anything from happening, so a bunch of wound up morons go out there way to make sure it happens no matter wha, which is when innocent victims end up getting involved through no fault of their own.
The clubs do everything they possibly can to stop trouble, they can't however control the physical actions of people prior to them actually doing anything, sadly we don't live in the age of Minority Report type technology just yet. Penalising the clubs and the innocent genuine supporters of the sport is exactly what the moronic hooligans want, the hooligans aren't proper fans and supporters of the clubs, they don't give a shite how much the club suffers.
Required movie viewing for anyone trying to understand the mindset of these hooligans:
I.D.
This Is England
Hooligan
They won't give you a proper true indication of how bad it was and how much better it is these days, but it does show a generally accurate portrayal of things in one way and it shows just how bloody stupid people can be and often are.

It's simple really, that would be far too sensible.
