Battleground Europe: WWIIWorld War II Online (WWIIOL) is a combined arms strategic and tactical war simulation, or virtual battlefield, with the distinction of being the first MMO First-Person Shooter (MMOFPS). WWIIOL utilizes a military rank system of player leadership which adds a RPG element to this MMOFPS. In 2006, WWIIOL was re-packaged and re-released as World War II Online: Battleground Europe and included many needed gameplay fixes and updates. Due to WWIIOL’s depth of realism, the learning curve is rather steep and a character’s life can end with a single, well placed shot, resulting in the intimidation and even frustration of many newcomers.

Allied Report:
S! Allied Team!
This past week has been a roller-coaster week for the Allied Team. After making some very good advances in the Zeelands, the Axis squad night took its toll on those advances causing the Allied Team to reshift its lines to deal with the imposing threat. Even in the midst of a major land lost, the Allied Team has stiffened their resolve and are determined to fight for every inch of Allied territory. While my hat goes off to the Axis push this week, I am even more impressed with the Allied resolve to fight on.
You Rock Allied Team!
Miestrox
Allied Forces Chief Of Staff
Allied Player of the Week
This week’s Allied Player of the Week is Stokescj. Stokescj is a player who is one of those self-directed players that is an example of doing those things that need to be done for the Allied Team War Machine. Congratulations Stokescj! It is with great honor that I present you the Allied Player of The Week ribbon. Wear this ribbon with pride as you have earned it.
Allied Officer of the Week
This week’s Allied Officer of the Week is Simon78. Simon78 is a sterling example of what all Allied High Commanders strive to emulate. Even though he has only been a AHC officer for a short time he has on several occasions stepped up and taken on Map OIC. We are proud and grateful to have Simon78 as part of the Allied High Command. Therefore, it is with great honor that I present Simon78 the Allied Officer of the Week ribbon. Wear this ribbon with pride as you have earned it.
