Battlecruiser online - Galactic Command
Our successful PC games have always been on the high end niche side of the gaming
industry. With our move away from these types of games, given current industry
conditions, we saw the need to go back to the good old days of fast and furious
space combat action.
To this end, using heavily revised versions of our suite of critically acclaimed game
technologies, we came up with a design that goes back to those days. A series that
was easy to get into, featured a detailed tutorial and which makes use of our
advanced AI and seamless space & planetary technologies.
The result is Galactic Command (GALCOM) a new series offered on different
platforms and featuring different aspects of our game technologies.
Four titles are planned for the series, each featuring a different aspect of the galaxy
wide conflict against hostile forces.
Galactic Command – Echo Squad
The first title in the series, GALCOM - ES, features the adventures of a ragtag team
of Elite Force Pilots assigned to a new experimental combat assault carrier on
homeland defense duties.
This title was licensed for an exclusive period by Turner Game Networks in early
2007 for their GameTap service.
A Second Edition version for public release is now available.
Galactic Command – Talon Elite
The second title, GALCOM - TE, based on revised GALCOM game engines, features
the adventures of an elite team of Elite Force Pilots operating deep behind enemy
lines and against the viciously hostile Gammulan race.
Unlike the Wildstar fleet in Echo Squad which sees the player’s squad operating
within friendly territories and within reach of friendly bases and support, the Talon
Elite team and their Talon fleet (carriers, cruisers, armed transports) operate on their
own deep inside hostile territory and nowhere near any other friendly forces.
Left to their own devises, the Talon fleet operates outside the realms of normal
GALCOM directives and do whatever they can to accomplish their goals.
Talon Elite is also episodic (sixteen missions per episode) and has an original four
episode story arc. It is currently in development for the PC (retail and digital
distribution) and the Xbox 360.
The scheduled release date is currently Q1/08 (Spring)
Galactic Command – Bravo Team
This is the third title in the series which, unlike the two previous titles, sees the
battle from the perspective of a planet bound team of combat marines.
With various player controlled gunships, vehicles and frantic first person action with
numerous weapons of mass destruction, Bravo Team is all about team based squad
combat.
Using proprietary technlogy, Bravo Team also links with Talon Elite in multiplayer,
allowing owners of the two different games to engage each other in the same
seamless space and planetary world.
ABOUT GALACTIC COMMAND – TALON ELITE
Many years have passed since the Gammulans invaded the sol system in full force
and all but decimated the inhabitants of the planetary systems. cites were
completely devastated and entire continents wiped out.
In their wake, they left a splintered Galactic Command (GALCOM) alliance still
engaged in a fierce battle with insurgents who oppose the alliance.
GALCOM stationed a combat fleet (Talon) within Gammulan territory in order to
thwart any incursions into Terran territory and also to keep the war away from the
home front.
The player’s Talon fighter squadron assigned to the Talon battle fleet led by the GCVWidow
Maker and GCV-Rising Sun in offensive operations against the Gammulans.
As an Elite Force Pilot and leader of the Talon fighter wing assigned to the GCVWidow
Maker, the player’s fighter wing is tasked with leading a series of offensive
combat missions all over the vast expanse of the Gammulan territory (see attached
map).
Missions take place in space and on the surface of planets and range from basic
escort and recon missions, to highly engaging and dangerous tactical strike missions.
