Alt Characters

I was gonna make another character, maybe on dawnsong, but I can't decide what to make.
I already have one of each race on Coldeve - and I think human looks most cool in terms of graphics, but I don't really want to level a ranger again, I'd rather do something else.

I read the reviews on AC2HQ about melee and magic classes for humans, but I can't decide which is better - or what to specialise in if I choose either.

Can anyone with experience of any of these types of characters give me some advice on which to choose, tips for skills, etc ??

Thanks for the offer... but I like doing all the quests first

When I started my first character everyone was really nice and offered to level me, help me do quests etc... but it just felt like I was being dragged along with the current without a clue what was going on. Now I understand the game a lot more, and I'd like to take this chance to go and do all the quests while understanding what it's all about.

What's the alleigances like on Dawnsong, i.e. is there one all the mir players are in, or are you split up all over the place? On coldeve we were all in the one alleigance really.

I know its silly but I don't like the way tumeroks look. It looks like a piece of candy you would chew on for a bit then spit out. I'd much rather play a human As a ranger I had trained some magic skills ( up to encase ) and those were pretty cool, but I have no clue about the melee stuff.
