revisions and updates
The various Arramora dungeon quests have been revised. All eight non-Kingdom themed quests provide a 0.5%-of-level experience reward up to level 55 and now have a 3.5 day reset timer. The three Kingdom themed quests provide a 1%-of-level experience reward up to level 58 and also have a 3.5 day reset timer. Finally, the number of monsters found in these dungeons has been slightly increased.
Although the Mosswart Rescue quest is designed to allow you to successfully complete it before the one-week reset timer takes effect, a bug in the quest's logic was causing it to bestow the invisible one-week control quest on players who didn't currently have the visible quest underway. We've fixed this bug, and now players should only receive the invisible one-week quest after first successfully completing the visible quest.
A bug in the Olthoi Hunt quests was giving players nowhere near the Thorsten Cragstone NPC an invisible quest when one of their fellowship members spoke to that NPC. This invisible quest is designed to prevent players from receiving more than one of the Olthoi Hunt quests a week, but in this instance it was preventing them from doing any of the Olthoi Hunt quests. Players will now only receive this invisible control quest when they are bestowed with the visible Olthoi Hunt quest.
We've fixed a bug that was causing an "Olthoi Catacombs" portal and it's surrounding Olthoi Gardeners to be left behind when the event controlling the location of the portal moves on to a new location.
There are now exit portals out of the "Infiltrate the Clutch" and "Spirit Guide" dungeons.
The number of monsters spawning on the War battleground has been reduced.
The skills used by the Chaos Lugians in the Rus****er Redoubt no longer hurt nearby twisted friends. Just because they are tainted by Chaos, it doesn't mean they're crazy. Not crazy enough to wipe themselves out in a storm of AoEs, anyway.
Due to improvements made to the Shadow and Dominion forts on Arramora, players may want to re-lifestone any character currently tied to those locations. Otherwise, players may find their characters recalling to their default start locations, somewhere in Osteth.
We've fixed a bug that was causing the Burun Shaman, a creature found in part of the "Spirit Guide" quest, to get stuck in midair.
The gold value of the Red Fire Cesta has been reduced to 500 gold.
The Focus cost reduction effect given to players who complete the "Destroy the Chaos Eidolon" quest is no longer lost on death or when the character logs out.
Monster Changes
The values of the many of the Kingdom creatures have been slightly tweaked.
Golem armor and melee defense values have been reduced, while the experience reward given out by group versions has been slightly increased.
Virindi defenses have been slightly increased, while group Virindi have had their experience reward slightly increased.
Shadow armor has been slightly reduced, while their defenses and attack speed have been slightly increased. In addition, the experience rewards from group Shadows has been greatly reduced and now matches the reward given by group Golems and Virindi.
Finally, the Oubliette protection timer has been increased from 1 minute to 2 minutes.
We fixed a bug that caused a few monsters with healing skills to lose the ability to attack.
Combat Changes
We've added some additional code to prevent certain characters from "run-casting" many skills that were not designed to be used while moving. Due to this change, we've modified all character buff skills to be usable while moving. Note that we've not modified any healing skills to be usable while moving.
We've fixed a bug that was causing players to receive "attack interrupted" messages when they used self-targeted or fellowship-targeted skills and the monster they had previously targeted was killed.
Treasure Changes
We've fixed a bug that was causing Hero treasure to generate with additional spells and effects 100% of the time. Hero treasure now generates with additional spells 30% of the time.
A bug that was causing shields to be generated with low armor levels and lower damage values than intended has been fixed.
We've fixed a bug that was causing the effects found on Hero jewelry not to work. Note that this will only affect newly generated jewelry.
The drop rate for Juggernaut staves, rare trophy items and Mirra has been increased.
The Grand Shield of Bloodletting, The Bladed Shield of Linvak, and the Horned Shield of Omishan had several default crafting values incorrectly set. These items are now un-improvable, as was originally intended.
We've increased the vigor cost on all new Frenzy Drums, since this cost was too low compared to other drums found in the game.
The Sangog Brothers are even beefier now, since they use even more of their special skills.
All breastplates that require "Iron Pincers" should now be changed to require "Lumbering Might."
We've fixed a typo in the Crystalabra's description.
Miscellaneous Changes
We've added a year field the log files generated by the game. In addition, we've removed some of the blank lines generated in this file.
The Lugian Juggernaut's Challenge skill incorrectly stated that the skill damaged the target, even though the skill only taunts monsters. We've corrected this description to be more accurate.
Players can no longer use a mount while moving. Instead, they will now have to be standing still before they can equip their mount.
