Orc Action!
Orc Action! Before Dulan 1 Chantra - a continent surrounded by the spirits and shrouded in tales of myth and legend, would soon call out for mighty heroes In search of a great relic, many would journey across Chantra. Amongst these journeymen where Nathan, a human warrior and Walcure, an Orc magician. Each spent many a year in their search for the great relic so it was only a matter of time before their paths were to cross. Whilst on the search for this relic they stumbled upon one another in the barren desert and their instinctive hatred took over as they launched into a fierce battle. They fought on for many hours, until both were too weak and unable to battle any more. As they sat there, exhausted in the heat, the fog of rage began to ascend and they decided to band together on their epic quest. For days they travelled the planes of Chantra. Their journey led them to the remnants of a lost city whose once grand walls were overgrown with weeds and vegetation. As they explored the remains of the city they discovered a great hall. Wandering deep into it they saw before them a throne richly decorated with carvings of warriors in fierce battle. As they stood there marvelling at its eloquent nature a man appeared from behind the throne. Dressed in an armour set to match the elaborate nature of the throne, he stood before them, his sword raised. This was Salamander, the last remaining guardian of this once stunning city, left by the ancients to defend the city to the end. Fearing that Nathan and Walcure where there to invade, he launched into a ferocious attack. It took the skill of both our heroes to defeat the great Salamander. As the former hero fell, a mighty door at the back of the hall slid back revealing two weapons of great importance. Moving forward each took one of the weapons, granting them control over an element. Nathan’s sword granted him power over fire, while Walcure’s staff granted him power over land. As the brothers parted ways they lifted a ring from the fallen Salamander and split it between them to remind themselves of their shared journey and newfound allegiance to each other. With their search over each returned home and over time carved their name in history. Nathan became a righteous warrior and built for himself a great castle known as Manas. Walcure went on to establish himself as the greatest conjurer in Orc history. As tales of their achievements spread amongst the Humans and Orcs their weapons took on names of their own. Nathan’s sword became Broomheart, whilst Walcure’s staff acquired the name Gaiahon. Much more was still to come for these heroes… As night fell over Chantra, the air was pierced by the cries of Broomheart and Gaiahon startling their owners awake. Unsure of what had caused their weapons to react in this way Nathan and Walcure journeyed out from their great cities and met each other in the woods bordering their lands. Together they were unable to solve the mystery of their weapons cries, they decided to travel to Serend the home of the monk Dragon Zian and the great Moon-Elf archer, Garcia. They travelled all night long and eventually arrived in Serend at first light. They were greeted by Garcia and Zian at the gates of the city, for these weary travellers had been expected. They were quickly ushered into Zian’s home, carved into the side of the mountain. Here Garcia revealed to them the reason for their weapons’ fierce cries. She spoke of a magician known as Cyripus who was calling out to the weapons using the power of the Archons. The Archons were five relics that had been created when Chantra had first come into being. These relics granted their wielder power over the elements, one element was tied to each Archon. In ancient times, a great magician had forged each of the relics into weapons of great power, and now the spirits of these Archons where trapped within each weapon. If one person were able to unite all five weapons together then they would wield the ultimate power, the power of the ArchLord! The gathered heroes agreed that they must band together and form a last alliance to defeat Cyripus and prevent him from gathering together the five archons. So they set out to find him, led by the cries of their weapons. As their journey entered its third day they finally found him, deep within the wooded highlands. It was here that they challenged Cyripus. The battle raged for hours and as the heroes tired they mounted one last attack. In doing so Garcia was able to pierce the heart of Cyripus using her bow, Evengarda. And so it was that Cyripus fell, defeated. His weapon fell from his hand landing at the feet of Nathan and Walcure. Fearful of being tempted by its power, the gathered heroes agreed to hide the last Archon. So Nathan took the Archon and travelled north where the city of Dulan was being built. There he placed the Archon under the foundation stone before sealing it away. Nathan also became weary of the power that resided within Broomheart, so he decided to sheath the sword and only use it when absolutely necessary. Sharing his concerns Walcure carried out similar plans for Gaiahon. As the years went by and the heroes passed on, their great weapons were handed down through the generations. On rare occasions, and despite this practise of interbreeding being seen as a shameful act, offspring of mixed blood are born in Chantra. So it followed in the year 498, after the establishment of the great human city of Dulan, a boy was born to two magicians. One a human female named Sylvia, the other, an Orc male by the name of Urzark. They named the boy Ugdrasil, even early on he displayed incredible intelligence and capacity for magic. This union had not passed unnoticed, and the Orc magician Kaliuhr feared that Sylvia and Urzark may be discovered by others. For two years though the couple lived in peace and harmony in their village of Sered. But on the eve of their son's second birthday, their worst fears were finally realised. Their village was attacked by an entire garrison of knights, led by the human magician Trandt. Fearing for their child, Sylvia used her magic to hide him from the knights and their magician leader. In the ensuing battle both Sylvia and Urzak were slain, but the knights were unable to find the boy and eventually left empty handed. Kaliuhr arrived in the village shortly after the knights had left, too late to help his friends. As he moved through the devastated village he found the hidden child. Sensing the boy’s power and wanting to make up for his late arrival he took the boy back to his castle where he raised him as his disciple. The city of Dulan had become a violent place over the years as it became the home for all those that sought power, including Trandt. Also amongst the residents was Ernan, adopted brother of Leon, the city’s great warrior and direct descendant of Nathan Manas. It was he who had been granted the right to carry the sword Broomheart. Leon feared for his brother Ernan, and did his best to keep him on the right path. However Ernan did not see his brother’s concern, but instead felt he was acting out of jealousy. So it was that Ernan made plans to move against his brother and steal his power. One day whilst Leon and his son were wandering through the Tass forest, Ernan’s men prepared themselves to attack. However, hearing the rush of hooves on the track, Leon hid his son in the undergrowth. Like Sylvia and Urzark before him, Leon would pay the ultimate sacrifice protecting his kin. Ernan stood over the felled body of Leon and ripped Broomheart from his side. The sword would not respond to Ernan’s commands and in his rage he cast the sword into the hot lava river of the underground cave of Noun. Back in the forest, upon hearing the baby’s cries, the wandering monk Kenneth found the boy in the undergrowth. Seeing Leon’s ring in the baby’s basket he recognised him as a child of Manas. As he was aware of the chaos sweeping across Dulan and the surrounding area, he decided to take boy and raise him himself. |

Been playing it for about an hour, It seems like a bad copy of L2. The controls are extremely choppy, Main annoyance is the fact that you can only turn the character using A and D, But you they dont work if your already moving so you have to stop everytime you want to change direction
