Server Reboot To Implement Server Security Changes

25-06-2006 : Due to the attacks that took place this afternoon and the fact i've spent the best part of 12 hours solid looking at the situation and security and various other things, to see what I could do, there will be a server reboot in the next couple of minutes to implement the changes that have been made.

The server should only be unavailable for approximately 5 minutes.

At the same time, I would also like to inform you that the site will go offline for a couple of hours later this evening, while some coding work is put in place on the website itself. This is not something that you will see any difference with as such, but something in the background, which will benefit the website in the long run.

I thank you for your understanding with this and hopefully soon attacks such as that witnessed this afternoon will become a thing of the past.

Backend website work carried out and completed successfully without having to take the site down in the end, thankfully.

Please note, that service on TF through the course of the next few hours may be a little hit or miss, due to various tasks being worked upon.

I am fully attempting to keep the service smooth, but certain scripts may cause spikes as I recode and further secure them.

Ok, that should just about do it for now.

For the next few hours i'll be monitoring everything, but hopefully I shouldn't need to reboot any more.

Speed of page loading may seem a little slow at times, please bare with me with this, as you can see i'm working on it.
