Massive Attack Sustained On The Server This Afternoon

Firstly, let me apologise for it taking so long to get the server back online this evening after a seriously prolonged attack was sustained on the server.

But at the same time, thank the gods that I had the sense to find a way to actually stop it in the first place, something which after 3 phone calls my hosts failed to even see and recognise as an attack.

The attack was a concentrated attack on a specific script on the server, which caused the server to spiral into a massive overload and subsequently stop serving pages. The server was reboot to try and stop it as this normally is all that is needed with this type of thing, but after 5 failed reboots, I figured this was obviously not going to work.

Having discussed the situation with my hosts and getting them to check out the situation, they failed to spot anything and as a result of that, have made my mind up that at the earliest possible opportunity, TF will be moving to a better hosting company.

Anyway, sorry for the loss of service, but this has to a point, been completely out of my control, i'm just glad I won through once more.
