Mini Update Announcement

Just a quicky to let you all know, the Gallery, Arcade and Trailer Section's have been updated with the latest available software this morning.

To be honest, I think most people would notice very little difference with them. Maybe a little bit quicker, but very little besides. The big difference should be the amount of bugs and errors that they throw up should have gone way down.

The arcade itself is still in monitoring. If you get the dreaded time-out bug still, please post to the time out thread that's already made. They should be less frequent now, but it is almost impossible to stop them happening completely, due to the need for the function to be there for security reasons.

More little updates will be taking place over the next few days, so please be prepared for moments where TF could possibly need to be closed for brief periods, although normally that is not necessary. Also..... If certain colours and layouts suddenly start looking and feeling a bit weird, that'll be me tinkering and if anything breaks, that could well be me also.

The major update will be the forum software, but that isn't going to happen for roughly 2 weeks yet, but when it does, that will mean at least 24hrs of downtime for TF, as that is always a major mission to undertake. Obviously everyone will be informed closer to the time regarding that.

I'll update this thread as I go along anyway and keep everyone informed as things progress.

Review Section has now been updated to latest software as has TFTube.

The review system is well out of date I know, the latest products added are somewhat lacking, but this year should see it catch up a tad.

The TFTube section is nice methinks, but needs the community to be adding your favourite clips to it.

This so far is just getting all the TF features up to date, plenty more updates will be coming along.

Just a quick update on this to make clear what is happening at the moment regarding these supposed updates and bits that are happening.

Currently I am waiting for the designers of the SEO software that TF uses to catch up with their software, once they do finally release their latest compatible version, then I can finally go full steam ahead with the work that needs doing. Unfortunately, as I should have suspected in honesty, a supposed release date has long since passed by around 2 weeks on their part due to whatever holdups they are having (about typical of script developers unfortunately), so, it is a bit of guess work for when tthat side of things can finally happen and a case of me just getting on with the bits I can in the background while I wait.

TF is undergoing a slight redesign during the same time, fortunately most of that work can and is being done in the background without a hitch, but to complete the redisgns does need me to tweek some sizes to tables and the likes, which means the forum could take on a bizarre look with the possibility of broken images and the likes for a bit at some time over the next few days.

In the meantime, I really would appreciate everyone posting to the forums as normal and if possible a little more than normal though, as I can't personally be in two places at once and so can't be posting regularly and updating bits in the background, although I can assure you I will be very actively adding content and decent topics for discussion myself one this latest stage of work is completed.
