Total Format To Fire 1&1 As Hosts Due To Abysmal Service
Over the last 3 weeks Total Format has been subjected to more downtime than uptime due to the complete abortion that is supposed to be 1&1's customer service, this has resulted in letters of complaints, phonecalls, emails and every possible manner of communication available, without anything that would resemble even the most basic of communications in return from them, never mind them fixing problems which they have created in the first place.
Suffice to say, Total Formats long term future is far more important than any kind of loyalty to 1&1 and that hanging around suffering this kind of thing hoping that 1&1 might eventually get their act together and start providing what is being paid for has now become a rediculous idea which I am not prepared to entertain.
The solution is a simple one. Total Format has immediately started put plans in place to move to a new hosting company and as quickly as possible.
Over the course of the next few days, Total Format will make the transition to a new host. This will undoubtedly mean some downtime for the website, but this is in my opinion at least something which is planned, instead of the countless error pages being displayed completely unplanned due to 1&1 cockups.
I will keep you informed as progress is made and will try to keep the move as painless as possible and the downtime to a minimum, but this has become a totally unavoidable situation, with no other course of action left available to me.
