Winner Announced For January Post Competition

After a month which saw Total Format break the record for the amount of visitors to the site, as well as several other records, Total Format decided to run a forum posting competition as a way of offering a prize to the community.

The posting level on the forums for January was overall fairly good, although I still feel there is a lot of room for improvement. But anyway, seeing as it only took 10 posts to earn an entry, it gave a lot of people a chance to win the nice helicopter set.

So, after spending a lot of yesterday, writing down names onto little bits of paper, each one as a result of entries accrued by members of the community, this morning they were all folded up and put into a bowl (my trifle bowl as it goes) and stirred around several dozen times by my other half.

The name which was picked out of the bowl by Robyn (my other half) was Arez, so congratulations to Arez who has just won a nice battling helicopter set. I was a little surprised that DeathKitten didn't get it though to be honest, as she had way more entries than anyone else.

So Arez, please PM me your real name and address and i'll make sure your prize is shipped out to you as soon as possible. (any names or addresses taken for this purpose are deleted as soon as used for the address label and are never kept for any other purpose).

As a result of me being quite pleased the way this competition went, it will now roll over into February, the prizes for February will be a brand new copy of Pirates of The Burning Sea and Everquest 2 with the latest patches, which will both come together with 1 months free subscruption to the game included. An announcement regarding the full details of this will be posted at some point over this weekend, but suffice to say, the more posts you make, the more chance you have of winning. There will also be a special prize for February, for the person that gets the amount of posts closest to a figure chosen at random by Robyn (it's a 3 figure number). So, the more posts you have, the more entries you get and if you are the closest person to the random figure, you will win a seperate special prize.

This will now be a continuous monthly prize competition, with different prizes each month.

Another competition that will take place will be to win a variety of goodies for the game Turning Point and will include a copy of the game as soon as it is released. This competition will be a simple question and answer competition relating to the game and the competition will begin towards the end of next week.
