Favourite movies: Ghost in the shell, Fist of the north star, Blood - The last vampire, some movie I can't remember name of with HUGE boars-wolves-deer and ****.

Biggest let down movie: X - The movie :saw:

Favourite series: Ghost in the shell - Stand alone complex, Angelic layer, Chobits, Love Hina, Vandread, Ai yori aoshi, Tokyo underground, Samurai deeper Kyo, Gundam, Azumanga daioh... better stop here >.<

Biggest let down series: Wouldn't even want to rember the name, but about some girl who keeps dying and dying and dying. Never saw a more annoying anime ever :saw:

The Akira movie misses out a LOT of plot in the transition from page to picture. Get the books if you can find them. SDK is talking about Mononoke no Hime I think? (Princess Mononoke)

Jonny, you need to get your hands on the Macross movies, Orguss02, Gunbuster (get that right now before I'm forced to bring the videos to your house.)... a few others that I'll no doubt remember later.

Series wise, you NEED Evangelion and Trigun. Other good shows include Moldiver, Armitage III (the Polymatrix edit is available on Kazaa at around 600mb), Ah! My Goddess, Urusei Yatsura, Kimagure Orange Road...
That should keep you busy for a while. :boob: :cute3:

Thought Gunbuster was a series, not a movie. Or is there a movie as well? Anyway if you got a fast connection and want to view some "first time anime"(in english sadly) you could try out www.sputnik7.com . There's some gunbuster there as well. The best movie there is Red Hawk tho, even if it is in english.

I still haven't got around to watching the film Heard mixed reviews about it...

There's another one for your jonny, Perfect Blue. You can't watch it half cut though Need to pay full attention to what goes on.
