Alganon is an upcoming fantasy-based MMORPG that allows thousands of people to play together in a virtual world that features multiple races, powerful weapons and armor, deadly magic, epic quests, ancient places to discover, the utilization of detailed tradeskills, and more.

Designed from scratch and based in a uniquely created world, the initial goal in designing Alganon is to provide "Simple Gameplay with Unlimited Growth in a massive world of immersion and interaction".

Part of achieving this goal was to create a game that makes it easy for anyone to get started in and play, but also build the game in such a fashion that even the most skilled and hardcore gamer has the potential to grow beyond their expectations. A world where the causal and hardcore gamer alike can adventure, grow, build, and share their accomplishments with other players.

The four principles on which Alganon was designed are:

To grow the world properly, we decided to focus only on a few starting races and classes so that we could refine each to be unique and expansive far beyond what other MMOGs have to offer. Quality, not Quantity. That's what Alganon is about. In the massive world of Alganon, the player is brought into a world dominated by Deities that are representative of two warring organizations known as the Asheroth and Kujix. Order and Chaos. Unique in their culture, skills, and abilities, these two organizations are battling for dominance of the two largest continents in the world, Ardonya and Harraja. Recruiting only the most skilled followers, both the Asheroth and Kujix have spread throughout the world and infiltrated the culture of nearly every major race.

All those who enter the world are born into special families that instantly bond them with others who have chosen the path of either the Asheroth or Kujix. As a player grows in the world, their conquests and honor reflects on their family's reputation and standing.

The Deities that control regions of the world are often seen by those fortunate enough to follow them, and unfortunate enough to follow their nemesis. The gods of Alganon are not just history, legend, or lore - they are real and living in the world, and are a part of the players experience. They can call upon their followers to engage in Crusades that bring hundreds, if not thousands of players together towards a common cause, and can assign unique quests with incredible rewards to their favored followers.

Both the Asheroth and Kujix control great libraries of information and news. Discoveries and accomplishments of players are available for all to learn about through these grand repositories.

Studies allow characters to grow in strength and knowledge based on their total age rather than how many hours they have been played. This unique feature allows casual gamers to grow the study-based knowledge of their characters at the exact same rate as any power gamer.

MMOG development is extremely complex in both design and technical production. A game must be designed with a core set of features, yet flexible enough to evolve beyond the initial design based on player feedback. We here at QOL acknowledge that the design ALGANON may evolve far beyond what is defined here during its multi-year development process; however, we will continue to update this section as such design changes occur.

Multi-server, PvE & PvP Support
ALGANON supports both PvE and PvP server types. Both server types will feature Battlegrounds and a ranking system that reflects in both title and the ability to acquire specific items and even skills.

Quests
While the world will be populated with numerous static quests that all can partake in, ALGANON will also offer custom dynamic quests specifically for the character. These quests are designed to add variance to the system and provide unexpected rewards.

Companions & Pets
Taming animals and controlling creatures with magic is part of playing specific classes in ALGANON. These companions will grow with their master, protect them, and can even have their look customized. Pets will be available to all classes, but most pets will be unable to participate in combat.
