There are 12 levels per type of Chi. There are 18 types of Chi. After the first two types of chi you get to pick a class. Before this you are stuck to melee fighting styles. Afterwards, there's options to use various magics. There's a quest at every level. Mostly it's 'kill xx baddies and I'll give you stuff'. Sometimes it's 'take this package to the person in that village'. In the early levels you can do it alone fairly well (two days I had gone up 12 levels - whoo!). I've just got to the first level of the 3rd type of Chi. Although not necessary, it is easier when you group with people as you get higher levels...
its not too shabby and they do seem to have thought about gameplay a little more than normal. mobs will attack other mobs that they dont get on with and areas seem to have good varied levels.
The one bit i do have to dislike is when your talking to an NPC in the battle area you can still die >< you get hit by umpteen red level mobs while your still talking and die trying to finish and read quest text. Prob needs looking at.
The other problem seems to be that power leveling is an easy rampant task. You can choose to share xp in a party and there is no limit on what you need to be or even location to gain it. I went out to one end of the world, sash was at the other ( same play area ) and she was getting xp in the town area while I was killing so that probably needs tweaking too ><
It is a nice enough game tho and has many of the features of the current range of 3d mmorpg's like silkroad very smooth tho and lots of skills and stuff to learn and do.
if you're on the same map you can share exp. if you goto a different map it won't let you share exp...
But yeah, those mobs fighting each other is funny
Another thing, is if you start attacking mobs and teh guards kill them, you still get the exp. I went up a level by taking on a bunch of mobs and just running, after a couple of hits, to the guards, who promptly killed everything. Lots of easy exp

looks ok but the pace of an asthmatic ant loaded down with some very heavy shopping.
We like it Harv is just doing some Demon quest thing that is impossible and I am now gathering Chi.
The writing if you click on it should show the whole text rather than you having to wait to read of all. People so far have been pretty good, and like to group up and help each other. Some of the spells look cool as you get higher level.

But I want my magic According to another player I'm now high-enough level to pick a class from my clan, and I want to be a magic user >=D But can't - yet. Think I need to go up another level or something? Need to complete a quest before I can pick a class as well.
I tend to get good weapons when I'm in a group and we're fighting either red or deep orange baddies.
I am Opening Chi 1 atm. Am spending the weekend at g/f's so won't be on till Sunday/Monday. I am a Shaolin Apprentice atm. I've talked to the clan leader and he's given me a description of the various classes I can be, but no option to become one >.< Will look on website later to find out how, specifically, to choose a class...
My character walks like a bow legged homo who'd just been reamed. The lag was bad, the general animation annoying, the quest/skill system was all messed up when I played. It's basicly just an english version of the other martial arts mmorpg that was out YEARS ago we all played but done worse. Also the giant ads that cover basicly the whole damn screen pop up way too often. I found zero playability in that game and no fun.
its got better now i know how to use the game better and started a new char and this time didnt click the tutorial (fking annoyed me that did), im like level 5 or something and the quests are quite nicely done so far...ive started in the thiefs village.
lol kinda loving the game now, gets wayyyy better when you join one of the games clans and start learning their specific skills and start doing quests.
I've installed,patch and now played the game. And I have to say,I am VERY impressed. Very nice visuals,unique skill system,nice theme. And overall,very fun to play,even though i've only got to level 6 so far. As you probably guessed,character name is Froogles. I want to get into the Black Demon thingy clan thingy,since it's a damn cool name.
