"But then the other parties arent much better."

And therein lies the single most biggest problem that our great nation has at this time. The tories divided the nation in the 80's and early 90's (though that is before my time, as I am only 21 myself) and now the 'New' Labour Govt has divided the nation once again in this new millenium...

I also echo the comments that Tagred has said regarding Brown, he should have never become PM without a general election being called. But that is what we have become to understand is the 'norm' under New Labour, anything they have the slightest inkling they might lose, they refuse to hold a referendum or similar for and just hurry it through parliament.

I can see the more extremist groups getting more of a foothold in the next general election which can only be bad for our country. Instead of a cohesive group under one banner, we are going to have several groups under several banners... especially if this recession is going to get worse before it gets better (and there are signs regardless of what 'insiders' say, that this could well be the case)..

Ultimately, I am going to vote a resounding No to Gordon Brown's government, but who I am going to vote for is anyones guess.. I think that would be a decision made for me personally at a more local level (if there is such thing as a Local MP come July next year!)
