Some things are best left untouched and that is seriously one such thing in my opinion.
I can't see a remake of such a classic film turning out to be anything other than utter crap, sadly.
All they seem to be doing in Hollywood at the moment, is trying to keep the ever hungry cash monster (otherwise known as movie companies and actors) well fed, regardless of everything else, especially quality.
