first of all, download the correct driver to the pc's own desktop,
go into control panel > system > hardware > device manager and uninstall
the monitor completely from that location,
shut down the pc, and unplug the pc and monitor from the mains for 1 minute,
plug in the pc only
let it boot to the desktop and let everything load ( until the HDD light is hardly blinking)
then plug in the monitor's electricity supply, and turn it on,
windows will detect the monitor and perfrom a clean install,
when the hardware wizard asks for software, point it to the folder
on the desktop that contains the downloaded driver files.
