The proof from the isp is circumstantial to say the least, if there is no hard drive evidence, there's diddley they can do. And remember this, no hard evidence means they have to pay silly money to recover the 900, look at banks, they right off a grand to people they can prove owe them, simply because it would cost way too much to get that cash back. If it takes them 20 grand and 4 years to get all their money back, they'd probably make more investing it!
